Double sided, indexed road map on durable, waterproof paper. Coverage extends partly into Tanzania to include Tanga and the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions. Combines clear road and tourist detail with relief indicated by contours, altitude tinting, and peak heights. Seasonal water features, swamps, mangroves and corals reefs are indicated. Road detail distinguishes dirt roads, selected paths and trekking routes, and impassable roads and also shows intermediate driving distances on main roads. High passes are indicated and some car ferries are shown.

Scenic routes, main railways, airports, airfields and harbours are indicated and a range of symbols depicts a variety of features eg. various antiquities, landmarks and places of interest, park headquarters, campsites, petrol stations, viewpoints, springs. National parks and regional boundaries are also marked. Includes extensive index of place names. Longitude and latitude lines are drawn at 1° intervals.
