Trekking map of the National Park area with the surrounding countryside, plus a series of more detailed maps of the Kibo and Mawenzi peaks, and advice for hikers and climbers. The main map with contours at 100m intervals presents physical features such as scree, glaciers, cliffs, and different types of vegetation, and shows main routes to the summit, indicating huts, campsites, and access to drinking water, as well as gates to the park and accommodation in local villages. Latitude and longitude grid is at 10’ intervals.

On the reverse there are enlargements for the Kibo summit (1:30,000) and Mawenzi peak (1:20,000). A large sketch of the southern elevation of the upper section of the mountain shows the main routes annotated with comments and symbols indicating average time of ascent, obstacles and difficult sections, etc. The map also includes information on the various routes, climate, flora and fauna, advice on equipment and some useful contact details.
