Approximately centred on the lake Hvitarvatn and the Langjökull glacier in the western interior, this map extents west to include the mountain Ok , east to the Kerlingarfjöll mountains, south to Bjarnafell and north to the northern tip of Langjokull.
Symbols depict isolated building and churches, airfields, emergency shelters, tourist huts, shelters, campsites, fords, swimming pools, hot springs, caves & waterfalls.
Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 5' intervals.
On the reverse, in addition to the notes on local attractions, are two larger scale maps of the Arnavatnsheiði and Kerlingarfjöll areas at 1:50,000 at 1:75,000 respectively.
