This is a political road map with no depiction of general relief except for the inclusion of some spot heights and mountain passes. Water features eg. wadis, marshes and salt lakes are shown as well as sites of antiquity, sandy deserts, oil pipelines, airports, ports, railways, and four grades of road. Names of counties are printed in English as well as in the local language in Latin script, but no index for place names is provided. The map extends from the western edge of Egypt to Lahore in eastern Pakistan, and from the north of Turkmenistan to the southern tip of Yemen.
