One of the titles in a series of hiking maps with the base derived from IGN’s topographic survey. Relief is portrayed by contours at 50m intervals and hill shading. Colours distinguish wood, brushwood and built-up areas. The maps highlight GR and GRP routes and other minor hiking trails, indicating hazardous or poorly defined sections. Bold symbols depict features of interest to hikers and other visitors, e.g. Via Ferrata sections, refuges, national park boundaries, information centres, gîtes, car parks, ski and chair lifts, VTT centres, museums, antiquities, and natural curiosities. The maps have a UTM grid. Map legend includes English. Also included are lists of various useful contact addresses and telephone numbers, e.g. tourist offices, Club Alpine Français, weather information, etc.
This title covers the whole of the Tour of Mont Blanc, including its Italian and Swiss sections.
- Raised relief map of Mont Blanc:*
Institute Géographique National, French national survey organization, is renowned for their excellent series of 3-D plastic maps, including a spectacular map of the Mont Blanc massif at 1:50,000 of both the horizontal and, unsusually for such maps, the vertical scale. Coverage of the whole of the French Alps is available at a variety of scales. Unfortunately, due to frequent damage in transit to our customers, we are unable to offer these maps on our website. The Mont Blanc map is available as regular stock, and all others can be ordered for collection from our London shop. Please contact us by e-mail for a full list of titles
