The cartography is similar to that of the 3-sheet 1:200,000 map series, but presented here at a clearer scale. Road information includes roads closed to motorized traffic, scenic routes, motorway services and petrol stations, car ferry services, and even gradient marking. Railways lines are shown with stations. Colours indicate different types of terrain and land use, e.g. woods, heath, sand, industrial or urban areas, etc. A range of symbols depicts many natural landmarks and cultural or recreational attractions, such as nature parks, museums, campsites, windmills, golf courses, etc. The legend is in Dutch only, and on the back cover is a road distance table.
