Three maps in one title: a road map of the surrounding region, a more detailed map of the suburbs and environs, plus a street plan of the city centre. The regional maps are indexed and show the road network with unsurfaced roads and tracks. Symbols indicate information centres, campsites, numerous sport and recreational facilities (bush walking, mountain biking, caving, horse riding, surfing, paragliding, fishing, kayaking and canoeing, etc.), wineries, places of interest, etc. The maps have relief shading to indicate the topography, with national parks, conservation areas and reserves, marine parks all highlighted. The maps are overprinted with the New Zealand Map Grid. Suburban maps, also indexed, show suburb names with selected main roads and streets also named. Street plans of city centres have lists of places of interest and selected accommodation.
