One of several commemorative maps published to mark the 60th anniversary of D-Day.

The main map is based on a 1:100,000 road map and is overprinted to show the regiments, divisions etc. involved in the invasion and their respective landing points along the Normandy coast. The ground held and battle fronts existing after 24 hours are indicated and a small inset map shows the progression of the front up to 18th August 1944. Another map shows the location of the monuments, cemeteries and museums in the region.
