Large, 28x40cm, paperback road atlas of covering Canada and USA, with maps at scales varying according to the density of road network and urban development within Canada, and the sizes of various US states. Mexico is covered on two pages at 1:6,000,000.

Canada:
Coverage follows the usual pattern of presenting the northern half of the country (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and northern British Columbia) at smallest scales of 1:5,500,000 and 1:6,600,000. The rest of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are shown at 1:2,000,000. Northern Ontario is at 1:2,500,000, with the western and central parts at 1:750,000. South-western and eastern Quebec are at 1:1,380,000, with coverage of the Atlantic Provinces varying at scales according to the size of each area.

USA:
Scales vary as within Canada, with most maps at 1:2,000,000. More popular states like California or the north-eastern states around New York and Boston are presented at more detailed scales around 1:800,000.

The maps show all grades of roads from controlled access highways and toll routes to local loose surface roads. Intermediate driving distances are indicated on main roads and 24-hour border crossings are marked. National parks are highlighted and, within Canada, regional parks indicate if camping is allowed. Various places of interest are marked by a wide range of symbols. Time zone boundaries and internal divisions within the provinces and states are also shown.

Throughout the atlas, in both countries, numerous enlargements at various scales around 1:250,000 - 1:100,000 cover environs of main cities. The index of localities is arranged by country and within it by province or state. Also included are a distance table and an overview road diagram showing road connections in southern Canada, USA and Mexico up to Mexico City, showing distance in kilometers (Canada and Mexico) or in miles (USA) with approximate driving times.
