General relief is clearly shown by elevation tinting, characteristic of this publisher’s cartography, although no spot heights are marked. Desert and marsh regions are indicated, also smaller features like dry lakes, wadis, reefs and oases. The road detail includes some unsurfaced tracks, and intermediate distances are marked on major routes. Symbols show airports, airfields, ports, localities with petrol stations, hospitals, post offices, accommodation, oil wells, border crossings, beaches, points of interest, archaeological sites, etc. Latitude & longitude lines are drawn at 1° intervals. The map is indexed and includes a glossary of Arabic geographical terms.

The inset Dubai plan at 1:15,000 is not indexed and has no legend but shows the road detail clearly, along with themetro line, hotels, mosques and other landmarks. There is also an inset simple map of central Muscat, showing main roas, medina walls, and some notable buildings, eg. embassies, mosques hospitals.
