Relatively basic map showing physical relief (phew!), with a selection of town plans and regional maps on the reverse. Elevation tinting shows the relief (only within Peru), reserves and protected areas are marked, and departmental boundaries and names are shown. Road detail highlights the Pan-American Highway, and distinguishes un-surfaced roads. Intermediate road distances are shown on many routes and a distance table is provided. Railways are also included and symbols show airports, ports, volcanoes and some antiquites (although the incomplete legend leaves this element of detail to the imagination). Latitude and longitude lines are at 1° intervals and the legend is in Spanish only.

On the reverse is a collection of 16 smaller maps, (with no scales stated). There are street plans of central Lima, Trujillo, Huaraz, Huancayo, Ayacucho, Cajamarca and Iquitos on which various notable buildings and features are marked. Also included: a contoured map showing the Inca Trail, a diagram of the Nazca Lines, regional maps of the Sacred Valley, Cordillera Vilcabamba, Arequipa/Colca Canyon area and the Callejon de Huaylas area in the Cordillara Blanca. The absence of any stated scale limits their use but the do show such features as mountain peak elevations, ruins, towns and communications.
