One of the titles in a series of detailed regional road maps with cartography from the German publishers MairDumont. The maps boldly stress main roads and motorways in strong colours and selected towns in large letters, but also show minor roads and villages in considerable detail. Road information includes toll junctions and motorway services, seasonal or restricted roads, scenic routes, etc. Railways, ferry routes, cable car lines and chair lifts, etc. are also shown. National parks are marked, and towns and other places of interest have star rating. Symbols highlight various landmarks and facilities.

The maps also show selected hiking routes, especially on the northern sheets. The series is particularly good for identifying geographical features: mountain and hill chains, valleys, local regions such as Chianti or Garfagnana. Geographical co-ordinates are given as a grid in steps of 10'. Map legend includes English. Each map has an index booklet.
