Topographic maps from the Portugal’s civilian survey organisation. The maps have contours at 25m intervals. In addition to the standard features shown on topographic maps of this scale, the maps also indicate types of vegetation. Latitude and longitude ticks are show at 5' intervals for both the Lisbon and the Greenwich meridians. Recently revised sheets also show UTM coordinates with margin ticks at 10km intervals. Map legend is in Portuguese only (the military survey has a legend in English).
PLEASE NOTE:
Edition dates of both the military and the civilian survey at 1:50,000 vary considerably, with some of the sheets dating back to late 1960s. Current edition date for each map will be posted on our website as soon as possible. In the meantime, we can provide this information by e-mail.
Alternatively, orders can be placed by e-mail, indicating sheet numbers and requesting that for each map the more recent edition is supplied.
