Highlighted on the map are 13 selected walks, all graded according to the degree of difficulty, the type of terrain, and the average hiking time. The map is GPS compatible (datum WGS84) and has latitude and longitude grid at 1' intervals. An inset map at 1:2,000,000 shows the whole archipelago.

On the reverse is with a street plan of Mindelo at1:5,000 wih latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 0.1’. Detail includes built-up areas, parks, sport fields, selected notable buildings and footpaths. The accompanying booklet provides information on Mindelo’s history and attractions, plus descriptions of the walks shown on the map. Map legend and all text is in English and German.
