Double sided, indexed road map on durable, waterproof paper. The map combines clear road and tourist detail with relief indicated by contours, altitude tinting, and spot heights. Road detail distinguishes untarred roads and also shows tracks. Intermediate driving distances are shown on main and secondary roads. Other transport details include railways and stations, ferries and airports and airfields. Swamps, mangroves, flooding zones, and sandy areas, including quicksand, are all indicated, and internal administrative boundaries and regional names are shown. National parks, reserves and restricted areas are marked, and a further range of symbols shows harbours, hotels, campsites, antiquities, UNESCO sites, oases, beaches and places of interest. The region is divided into east and west sections. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 30’ intervals, and the map legend is in English and German.

This is one of the maps published under the auspices of Reise Know-How Verlag’s World Mapping Project, some titles from which are published by Rough Guides, using the same original cartography. We hold as regular stock all the titles in the Rough Guide edition, and the remaining titles are listed on our website in the original Reise Know-How version.
