Double sided, indexed road map on durable, waterproof paper, highlighting the Way of St James which runs east-west through the region. The coverage extends westwards from Biarritz to the Atlantic coast and reaches as far south as Palencia. It combines clear road and tourist detail with relief indicated by contours and altitude tinting. Altitudes for passes and selected peaks are marked. The road detail and shows some minor roads and tracks, with intermediate driving distances marked on many routes. Railways, funiculars and some major sea ferry links are marked and symbols show airports and airfields. Internal administrative boundaries and names are marked, and national parks and protected areas are shown. Symbols indicate selected campsites, various antiquities, viewpoints, UNESCO sites, ski resorts, viewpoints, lighthouses, yachting marinas, beaches and other selected places of interest. Latitude and longitude lines are marked at 20’ intervals, and the multilingual map legend includes English. Indexed for towns and parks/reserves.

Although clearly legible on the map, the lower contrast of these details may make them appear less obvious on the reproduction of the cartography presented here.
