Double-sided map of the Western Front in Belgium and France, from the Channel to Verdun, designed to show road access to the present day monuments and cemeteries, with a collection of maps, extensive text and photos.

The main map gives an overview of the whole area, from the Channel ports to Paris and Amsterdam, and east to Strasbourg and Frankfurt, showing the present day road network for access to the various battlefields from main international airports.

Six more detailed maps shows the present day road network around the main battlefield areas (the Somme, Arras - Lens, Lille - Béthune, Ypres, Paris - Reims and Verdun), indicating monuments, cemeteries, etc. The maps are surrounded by panels with descriptions and colour photos, many annotated with flags of the combatant nations, including US, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and South African.

The whole of the reverse side is taken by descriptions of various offensives and battles, illustrated with maps, brief biographies of leading military commanders on both sides, and black and white photos from that period.
