Trekking in the Stubai Alps

Describes two tours of the Stubai Alps. The first is a along the ¿rucksack route' a 120 km circular route that avoids any Glacial traverses and so is more appropriate for first time alpine walkers. The second route, the Glacier Route or Höhen Weg, is a more demanding tour across the glaciers and up some of the easier peaks. Both make use of the mountain hut system of accommodation. Includes good sketch maps and some colour and black and white photographs.
