The map shows Turkmenistan’s rail and road networks, with intermediate driving distances on main routes. Local administrative boundaries are also marked. Latitude and longitude grid is at intervals of 1º.

An inset covers central Ashkhabad at 1:25,000. A separate leaflet has an index of localities and notes on the country’s history, geography, economic development, etc. All place names are in Cyrillic alphabet, map legend and all the text are in Russian only.
