Series of four double-sided, detailed maps covering the state. General relief is shown by hill-shading and colours distinguish the various land management divisions eg. BLM, US Forest Service, National & State lands, military reservations, Indian lands etc. Road detail includes unpaved roads and 4WD routes. Selected roads are named and intermediate distances are shown on some routes. Other details include railways, airports, seasonal rivers and lakes, marshes, ghost towns, small settlements, rest areas, campgounds, elevations, passes, county boundaries and names. Each map is indexed and overlaps a little with the adjacent sheets.

nb. New editions of some titles have been published with improved, more detailed cartography and latitude and longitude lines drawn at 10' intervals. These are printed on durable waterproof paper.
