The Viewranger Northern Scotland map card gives Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Landranger mapping covering Northern Scotland for your mobile phone, all on a compact Micro SD card, ready to plug in to your smartphone. Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 mapping is detailed topographic mapping with 10m contours marked and shows roads, paths, tracks and for England & Wales also includes public rights of way. It shows tourist & leisure information such as campsites, information centres, picnic sites, car parks, selected sites of interest and viewpoints. Viewranger software requires a Symbian 7 Series60 compatible phone.

Viewranger is a unique take on GPS and mobile mapping: easy to use but fully featured, capable of utilizing your phone’s in-built GPS or a Bluetooth GPS receiver, or just as mapping software. The system gives you all the power of sat-nav, off-road mapping and GPS, without requiring a separate device - all you need is a compatible mobile phone. Each map pack comes with the Viewranger software built in, allowing you to start using the card straight away without requiring connection to a PC.

Viewranger software has a fast and easy-to-use mapping mode, a comprehensive GPS display showing altitude, bearing etc., full trip logging & analysis, and support for common waypoint, route, logging and Points of Interest formats, and even has a ‘Buddy mode’ allowing you to see your friends’ current locations on screen. You can even take advantage of your phone’s camera to attach pictures & videos to locations and share them with the world.

- Symbian 7 Series 60 phone.
- Internal GPS or Bluetooth GPS Reciever (NMEA-compatible) required for most features, but not for basic map display.
- GPRS or 3G Internet connection required for additional Point of Interest media such as photos & notes, but not for basic Point of Interest display or 3D Panorama view.
