Detailed waterproof and tear-resistant map of the island of St. John, most of which is covered by the Virgin Islands National Park. The map also shows the boundaries of the Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument. Topography is shown by contours at 50 feet intervals, with bold relief shading and spot heights. Hiking trails are marked, with symbols highlighting information points, ranger stations, campgrounds and lodgings, restaurants and picnic areas, etc. Along the northern coastline different types of buoys are shown. Scuba mooring facilities are also indicated. The map as a UTM grid, shows selected GPS waypoints, and also has margin ticks for latitude and longitude.
On the reverse extensive text provides more information about hiking trails marked on the map, as well as notes on the fauna and flora, plus general tourist tips for visitors.
