Detailed contoured map of the Whistler region with a street plan of the resort itself, plus on the reverse a road map of the south-western tip of mainland British Columbia. The main map at 1:50,000 covers the area round the resort, including the northern part of the Garibaldi Provincial Park and the Garibaldi Lake, and has altitude colouring plus contours at 100 feet intervals, with spot heights also given in metres. The map shows gondola, chairlift, and T-Bar lifts, ski runs, hiking routes, climbing and fishing sites, golf courses, etc. The map has a latitude/longitude grid at 5’ intervals, with margin ticks at 1’. Three insets show a street plan of the Whistler Village highlighting various accommodation and places of interest, plus local and intercity bus stops; Whistler Mountain Bike Park with over 40 routes; and Lost Lake hiking and mountain biking trails. This combination is published in two different versions:
- Whistler and Vancouver*: The map is waterproof and tear-resistant. The street plan of the resort is at 1:6,500. Also included is an additional inset at 1:125,000 showing the road connection to Vancouver. On the reverse is an indexed street plan of Vancouver at 1:20,000, extending eastwards to the Pacific National Exhibition Grounds, with an enlargement at 1:12,500 for the central area.
- Whistler and Sea to Sky Highway*: The map is published on paper. The street plan of the Whistler Village is at 1:5,000. On the reverse is a road map at 1:185.000 of the wider region extending from Whistler to the US border and eastwards along the Fraser Valley to Mission and Abbotsford. The map is indexed, has altitude colouring, shows national parks and protected areas, and highlights camping facilities and recreation areas. Latitude and longitude margin ticks are at 15’ intervals. Also included is a street plan of downtown Vancouver at 1:12,500.
