Double sided, indexed road map on waterproof and tear-resistant paper. The map combines clear road and tourist detail with relief indicated by contours and altitude colouring. Selected peak heights and pass heights are marked, and salt pan and swamp regions are shown. Road information includes unpaved and seasonal tracks and indicates intermediate driving distances on main and secondary roads. Locations of petrol stations, veterinary cordon fences and border crossings are also marked. Other transport details include railways, local airfields, and ferry routes. Symbols show hot springs, wells, national parks, accommodation, hospitals, places of interest, etc. Longitude and latitude lines are drawn at 2° intervals. Map legend includes English.
This is one of the maps published under the auspices of Reise Know-How Verlag’s World Mapping Project, some titles from which are published by Rough Guides, using the same original cartography. We hold as regular stock all the titles in the Rough Guide edition, and the remaining titles are listed on our website in the original Reise Know-How versions.
SAMPLE OF CARTOGRAPHY
NB. Some elements of the cartography e.g. minor roads and contours, are printed relatively faintly compared with other details such as major roads. Although clearly legible on the map, the lower contrast of these details has made them less obvious on the reproduction of the cartography presented here.
