Stanfords in Bristol celebrated its 10th birthday with a party at the store. Guest of honour was the ‘Map Man’ Nicholas Crane, the geographer and journalist who led the team of experts in the popular ‘Coast’ series.
He signed copies of his book Great British Journeys for customers at the store in Corn Street. Nicholas also cut a special globe cake, made for Stanfords by Clifton Cakes of Bristol.
The store has just been refitted and to add to the celebrations, there was a 10% discount offered on all stock.
