Be inspired by Alastair’s fascinating tales from his epic cycling trip around the world, which he shares in his books, starting with Moods of Future Joys and now, the latest installment, Thunder and Sunshine.
Humphreys began his journey on August 2001 from his Yorkshire home. Passing south through Europe and Africa, he crossed to South America by sea and proceeded up the west coast of the Americas.
From Alaska he went to Magadan in Russia, then on to Japan and westward across China and Central Asia to return to Europe. He arrived home in November 2005, having ridden 46,000 miles over four years.
