Main roads and many minor roads are marked, with relief shading used to show the topography. The national parks and national forests are particularly clear on this map, as blocks of colour are used to indicate the area covered by each. One side shows San Francisco and central California, from Santa Marcia to Sacramento, while the other side details the Los Angeles area, including Mexicali and much of the Mojave Desert. A small inset map shows the whole of California in less detail. Street mapping is provided for San Diego, central Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and central San Francisco with less detailed larger area maps for the whole of San Francisco and much of Los Angeles.
