The main map at 1:1,000,000, covering the Nile valley down to Abu Simbel and the Sinai Peninsula, has subtle relief shading and spot heights to show the topography. Road network includes seasonal roads and indicates intermediate distances. Railway links are also shown. Tourist sites are highlighted and graded according to their importance. Latitude and longitude are shown at 1 ° intervals. A smaller map at 1:5,000,000 shows the whole of Egypt with just the main roads across it.

An enlargement at 1:200,000 shows Luxor and the area of ancient Thebes on the left bank of the Nile. The street plan of Cairo at 1:15,000, with major street names also shown in Arabic, includes the main places of interest within the city and is supplemented by a small map the city’s environs which extends south to Saqqara and Dahshur. The legend for all the maps and plans includes English.
