About this series:
Each of these contoured maps details a particular US national park or forest. They are ideal for hiking as walking trails are clearly marked, along with ranger stations, picnic areas, drinking water sources, campsites, horse camps and many other facilities of interest to the outdoor enthusiast. Latitude and longitude margin ticks, UTM coordinates and selected GPS waypoints are usually included. Printed on paper-thin plastic, these maps are waterproof and tear resistant.
Unlike most maps in this series, there are no contours to be found on this one, which covers the whole Everglades National Park at 1:100,000. Roads, hiking trails & canoe trails are clearly marked, and the wildlife protection zones and areas of mangrove, marsh & woodland are distinguished. Additional symbols highlight ranger stations, marinas, launch ramps, camping facilities, disabled access, restrooms, gas stations etc.
There are also several inset maps at larger scales which depict hiking and canoe trails in greater detail. Where applicable these show waterway markers and water depths.
