Finland: Karttakeskus Map/Guides to Long Distance Cycling Routes

Paperback guides to Finland’s long-distance cycle paths with maps at 1:100,000 and street plans of towns along the route. Descriptions of each section of the route, in English, Finnish, and German, are accompanied by map extracts indicating the type of road surface and sections on a cycle path separate from motorized traffic. Street plans, mainly at 1:20,000 and overprinted with the route, are also provided for several towns. Accommodation, places to eat, various landmarks and places of interest are highlighted and cross-referenced to the descriptions where contact details are provided. The guides also have profiles of the route, information on taking cycles on public transport and access to the route by rail, etc.

PLEASE NOTE:
Since 2001 Finland’s survey organization has been publishing maps under an imprint name of Genimap. They have now reverted back to their old name of Karttakeskus, but some titles are still available only as Genimap.
