Indexed, waterproof and tear-resistant road map Finland including northern Sweden and Norway, with topographic and tourist information, published by Reise Know-How as part of their highly acclaimed World Mapping Project. The map is double-sided to provide the best balance between a good scale and a convenient size sheet.

On one side, coverage of southern Finland includes the Swedish coast of the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia, plus the whole of Karelia to St. Petersburg. On the reverse, Lapland includes northern Sweden, plus Norway above approx. 65º30’. Road and rail networks are easy to see on a clear base which presents topography by altitude colouring with contours, spot heights, glaciers, mountain passes and names of mountain ranges.

Road network includes selected unsurfaced local tracks and gives driving distances on main roads. Railways and ferry connections are shown, as well as internal administrative boundaries with names of the provinces. National parks and protected areas are marked and symbols highlight various places of interest: picturesque towns and villages, UNESCO world heritage sites, archaeological remains and museums, amusement parks, viewpoints, campsites, winter sports areas, etc. The map has a grid with latitude at intervals of 1º and longitude at 2º, and an extensive index of localities. Map legend includes English.

Some titles in this series have been published in Britain by Rough Guides with the same original cartography and are listed on our website only under that imprint. Some elements of the cartography e.g. minor roads and contours are printed relatively faintly compared with other information such as major roads. Although clearly legible on the map, the lower contrast of these details has made them less obvious on the reproduction of the cartography presented here.
