France: Michelin Regional Road Maps

Touring maps, each covering an administrative region, with simplified cartography to offer an alternative to the publisher’s Local Series of maps for France.

Road classification includes an indication of the number of lanes, and restricted routes, steep gradients, height and load limits, and intermediate driving distances are marked. Railways and ferries are included; the maps use hill shading to show the relief, plus additional peak heights. Local administrative boundaries and national and regional parks are indicated.

Tourist information includes scenic routes and symbols for viewpoints, sport and recreational facilities, various landmarks, antiquities and sites of interest, etc. Latitude and longitude are shown by a grid in steps of 15'. Each regional map includes a road distance chart, an index, and small street plans of selected town centres; the map legend includes English.

Please note:
This series has replaced Michelin’s old regional road maps in the publisher’s traditional yellow covers - still sometimes requested by our customers. These maps are not as detailed as the old regional series - for more detailed Michelin mapping, please see the Local Road Maps series.

  Institute Géographique National, France's national survey organization, is renowned for their excellent series of 3-D plastic maps, covering all but the flattest parts of France, from Brittany, Normandy or the Paris region to a truly spectacular map of the Mont Blanc massif. Popular areas such as the Alps, the Pyrenees or Provence are covered at a variety of scales. These superb maps can be a beautiful decoration, an excellent educational aid or an unusual reminder of an interesting holiday. Unfortunately, due to frequent damage in transit to our customers, we are unable to offer these maps on our website.
