French and Spanish Pyrenees on detailed walking maps from Rando Editions based on the topographic surveys from the Institut Géographique National and the Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya, highlighting hiking routes, including GR10 and GR11, mountain huts, various leisure facilities and sport centres, etc.

FRENCH PYRENEES:
Maps Nos.1 to 11 use as their base the topographic survey from the Institut Géographique National, with contours at 20-metre intervals. An overprint highlights local and long-distance footpaths, including the GR10 and the high level HRP route, indicating difficult sections or trails which are not waymarked. Other tourist information includes mountain huts and refuges, campsites, equestrian/mountain bike/canoeing centres, places of interest, etc.

Please note: this part of the series is slowly being revised. New editions are now published with a UTM grid, an English legend and slightly different cartography. But some titles still have only margin ticks for the Lambert projection at 5-km intervals and a legend in French and Spanish - please check individual descriptions for more exact details.

SPANISH PYRENEES:
Maps with numbers from 20 onwards use as their base either the Catalan topographic survey or similar cartography prepared by the Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya. Contour interval, the overprint (including the GR 11), and the area covered by each map are similar to the French series. The maps have a 10-km UTM grid and very small margin ticks showing latitude and longitude. Map legend is in French and Spanish (in Aragon) or Catalan only.
