Produced by the French IGN (the equivalent of the British Ordnance Survey) this is a superb map. The scale of about eight miles to one inch makes the map easy to read and allows masses of information to be shown. Roads (of different grades) are shown, as are all towns and cities. An impression of relief is provided by hill shading and some spot heights. Different types of vegetation eg. forest, mangrove are marked together with places of interest to tourists. The map is fully indexed and includes street plans for Cayenne and Kourou.
There is also another inset showing the internal administrative map of the country.
Latitude & longitude lines are at 30' intervals.
