The countries covered are presented at the following scales: Germany - 1:300,000, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria - 1:400,000, Czech Republic - 1:600,000. Road classification includes minor and unsurfaced roads and detail includes numbered motorway junctions, intermediate driving distances, steep road gradients, high passes, dangerous and seasonally-restricted roads, caravan prohibitions, scenic routes and toll barriers. Airports, vehicle ferries, main railways, funiculars and chair lifts are also marked. The maps use some hill shading to show the general relief, national parks are shown,and symbols depict plenty of landmarks, tourism and recreation details, eg. viewpoints, golf courses, attractions, caravan and camp sites, lighthouses, customs posts. With the exception of the Czech mapping, also highlighted are locations with entries in Michelin's Red Guide to hotels and restaurants. Multilingual map legend includes English. The atlas has an index and includes a distance chart, main road overview maps of each country, and over 90 city centre plans, which are also indexed for main roads and show notable buildings, landmarks and useful facilities.
