The walks range from one to five hours in duration and are coded according to the difficulty of the terrain. The route of each walk is highlighted on colour extracts from IGN’s1:25,000 topographic survey of the island and has descriptions of various points of interest indicated on the maps. All the text is in French but a lot of information is conveyed by symbols. The opening 25 pages of the guide include sections on history, geography, flora, and fauna, illustrated with numerous photos and drawings.
