This double-sided map extending from the Assam Hills in the east to the Hindu Kush in the west is the only general reference map of the Himalaya region available from Stanfords. It includes north-east Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, northern India, Nepal, southern Tibet, Sikkim, Bhutan and part of eastern India. Topography is shown by relief shading with the addition of spot heights of mountain peaks. Railways and roads are indicated, as well as National Parks and notable sites of interest. Towns on the map are classified according to population size by a range of symbols.
