The principal 91x59cm map is centred on Iraq and also shows, in their entirety, the states of Jordan, Syria, Israel, Lebanon & Kuwait. The cartography is the usual NGS style of political borders clearly emphasised in colour, with relief shading to denote the topography. As well as major roads and railways, oilfields and pipelines are included, and different types of terrain are distinguished eg. desert, swamp, salt lake. Latitude & longitude lines are drawn at 3° intervals and the No-Fly Zones over Iraq are indicated.
Insets show simple street plans of Beirut, Jerusalem, Damascus & Baghdad.

On the reverse is a satellite image map depicting the larger area of the Middle East, extending as far as Turkey, Iran & the Arabian Peninsula. The terrain is vividly presented and international borders are superimposed.
