The plan covers the city’s inner districts: its historical part within the old city walls, most of the districts across the Golden Horn within the city’s motorway ring, and the coastal areas of the Asian part.

Tram lines with stops, metro and railway stations, and ferry lines and piers are clearly marked. Symbols highlight the city’s famous landmarks, museums, mosques, embassies, etc.

An inset shows Istanbul’s outer districts, including access to the international airport and ferry stops along the Bosphorus. Also included is a diagram of the city’s tram and metro lines.

The plan includes a street index, but it must be pointed out that many smaller streets, and not just in the old part west of the Golden Horn, have no names.
