With an emphasis on cultural activities & history, each sight is graded and beautifully presented with extensive background information, and practical visitor information clearly highlighted with symbols. Many sights are covered with detailed, clear & easy-to-use floor plans & building diagrams. Regional & district entries are likewise clearly presented, with well-rounded background & historical information.

Each guide includes a section on trip-planning and practical information, as well as a general background section including nature & geography, history timeline, and artistic, literary & cultural overviews. Structure varies depending on the guide’s scope: National guides cover regions alphabetically each with their own accommodation, food & drink, and sights listings, and City guides cover sights alphabetically with one city-wide section for listings. Accommodation and food & drink listings are relatively concise but comprehensive, aiming to cater for all budgets and tastes, and match the standards of the Michelin Red Guides. Both sights & listings often include information specific to traveling with kids. Places in the text are cross-referenced to Michelin's foldout maps and atlases (sold separately).
