The road map at 1:1,000,000 has altitude colouring and spot heights to indicate the topography of the area and its numerous islands. Presentation of settlements distinguishes between hamlets and individual ranches. Road network indicates unpaved secondary roads and tracks.

In the Chilean fjords, Magellan Straights and in the numerous channels further south shipping routes and locations of lighthouses are marked. Drawings show the region’s 10 most interesting lighthouses. An enlargement presents the Francisco Coloane marine reserve in the Magellan straights in greater detail. The map has a grid with latitude and longitude at 1º intervals.

On the reverse is a satellite image of the whole of South America, showing main cruising routes, plus extensive notes on the history and main attractions of the region. Map legend and all the text include English.
