This vividly coloured topographic map extends from the heights of the Sierra Nevada range southwards through the Alpujarra region to the coast. Coverage reaches Durcal in the west, Castel del Rey in the east and the peak Cerro Negro in the north.

Contour lines at 100m intervals, elevation tinting and hill-shading represent the relief, and many spot heights & mountain peaks are indicated. Long distance walking routes are highlighted and symbols denote locations providing other outdoor pusuit opportunities eg. canoeing, cycling, climbing, local walking routes. Road detail includes minor roads. Municipal, provincial, national park and reserve boundaries are indicated and further symbols denote many more features eg. camp sites, mountain refuges, museums, information centres, hspitals, golf courses, petrol stations and other landmarks.

The map legend has an English translation, as do the notes on the region's attractions on the reverse.
