An eighteenth century Swedish map of these islands, extending to the lesser islands of Prickle Pear and Dog Island west of Anguilla. Graphic shading portrays the relief on the land, and many bays are named. In the lower left quarter is an inset plan of the harbour of Gustavia - as the main town on St. Barthélemy was then known - annotated with information for navigators. All text is in Old Swedish. Reproduced on heavyweight, parchment effect paper, with a generous border area.
