Waterproof and tear-resistant map with the Peninsula on one side, and a street plan of the city plus an enlargement of the Table Mountain area on the other. The whole of the Cape Peninsula including Cape Town is shown at 1:55,000, with contours at 20m intervals, spot heights and hill shading to show the relief. Main roads are named, some intermediate road distances are marked, and walking trails are included. An overprint highlights main places of interest, national parks, nature reserves, caves, waterfalls, car parks, visitor centres, picnic areas and restaurants, etc. The map is annotated with information on various recreational sites e.g. hobie sailing, surf skiing, wind-surfing, kite surfing, paragliding, climbing, sea kayaking, diving, nature watching, etc. Latitude and longitude are shown in the margins at 1' intervals.

On the reverse an enlargement at 1:30,000 shows the Table Mountain, indicating entrance gates, trails, protected areas, visitor facilities, caves, climbing and paragliding sites. The map also includes a street plan at 1:9,500 of central Cape Town, from Mouille Point and the waterfront to Oranjezicht district in the south. The plan is indexed for main streets only and shows the usual details for visitors: information centres, hotels, car parks, places of interest, notable buildings etc.
