A5 Postcard featuring a map from the Edward Stanford Cartographic Collection. Produced for the Edward Stanford Exhibition, October to December 2019. Limited supply. Stanford''s New Map of Kabul (1880) This map was published by Stanfords in January 1880. The whole map is tonal except for a few red and blue lines, one of which indicates the route of Lieutenant Vincent Eyre , another showing General Roberts’ advance. A beautiful historic map with lots of regions fascinatingly still marked as ‘unexplored’.
