AA USA Big Road Atlas 2015

USA Big Road Atlas 2015 from the AA in an A3 paperback format, presenting the country by state, each accompanied by city maps and/or enlargements of popular areas. Coverage includes southern Canada and an overview map of Mexico, both also with city maps and enlargements.

The atlas has cartography from the AAA (American Automobile Association) and is arranged alphabetically by state. Map scales vary according to the size of the state; most states are presented on one page, with the larger ones like Texas or California or two on more pages. The index and city maps and/or enlargements of most visited areas are placed next to the main road map.

Plain white base has colouring to indicate national/stare parks, Indian reservations and military areas. Topographic information is provided my names of mountain ranges, etc. Road network indicates controlled access and toll roads, and distinguishes between divided and undivided roads. Exit numbers are clearly marked and driving distances are marked on interstate, primary and secondary routes. Scenic routes are highlighted and where appropriate car and/or passenger ferry connections are marked. The atlas indicates various places of interest and also shows AAA/CAA club locations, towns with AAA approved and Diamond rated lodgings or restaurants, and campgrounds listed by Woodhall’s.

Coverage includes mapping for the populated parts of Canadian provinces, a two-page overview map of Mexico, plus maps of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, all accompanied by city maps and/or enlargements..

City maps show main access and transit routes and for larger cities a street plan of the downtown area is also provided. Also provided are a two-page overview road map of USA for route planning, a distance table, plus a distance/travel times map of the whole area covered by the atlas.
