Australia Hema Handy Road Atlas SPIRAL-BOUND

Australia Handy Atlas in a glovebox spiral-bound format from Hema’s selection of road atlases of Australia in various sizes and formats, published with their main section using the same cartography – enlarged or reduced according to the size of the atlas.

HEMA’S ROAD ATLASES – ALL THE VERSIONS: Each state is covered at a different scale depending on its size. All classes of roads from freeways to minor roads and 4WD tracks are shown, with intermediate driving distances on many routes and symbols indicating fuel supplies including outback stations. Specific routes and highways characteristic of Australia’s road network, such as the Great Ocean Road, the Savannah Way, the Capricorn Highway, etc, are shown with their names. Railways and local airfields are also marked. Other information includes locations of campsites and caravan parks, rest areas, and various places of interest. Colouring indicates national or regional parks and reserves, conservation areas, resource and scientific reserves, aboriginal land and UNESCO World Heritage areas. Topography is indicated by names of mountain ranges and selected spot heights. The maps have a latitude/longitude grid at intervals varying from 15’ to 2º according to the size of the area they cover.

For each state capital the atlases include a street plan of the CBD area, annotated with places of interest and selected accommodation. Also included are a map of the city with its outer suburbs and a map of the wider region around it. The atlases have an index and also include an extensive list of the country’s national parks with a table showing what facilities can be found there, a distance table, plus strip maps of main routes between the country’s principal cities showing exit roads and distances in both directions.
