Australia UBD Gregory's Road Atlas A4 SPIRAL-BOUND

Road Atlas of Australia in an A4 spiral-bound format, one of versions from UBD Gregory''s series of road atlases of the country. In this version the main mapping of each state is accompanied by more detailed enlargements of most visited areas, providing more information on tourist facilities, recommendations of main attractions, etc; each state also has a separate distance table. The atlas provides mapping by state accompanied by a town centre street plan of the state capital plus a map of the city with its suburbs. Other features include: state-by-state tables of facilities in national parks, diagrams of main highways, a comprehensive distance table for the whole country, plus general notes and tips on travelling in Australia by car. Current edition of this title was published in May 2012.

Road atlases of Australia from the now combined cartographic houses of UBD and Gregory’s present the country in a variety of sizes and formats and with different additional features providing extra information. The maps are arranged by state; scales vary according to the size of the state. Road network is shown on a base with no relief shading but with spot heights for main peaks. National parks and other protected areas as well as Aboriginal Lands are highlighted in different colours. Driving distances are given on main and many local routes. Various places of interest are marked but, apart from the Touring and the Recreational versions, the UBD Gregory’s atlases lack the wide range of icons provided in the Hema’s atlases to indicate various tourist facilities (or rather Northern Territory has some but not the other states!)
