Belgium at 1:300,000 on a map from its national survey organization with an overprint showing the country’s network of long-distance cycle routes: LF routes in Flanders plus RV and RAV routes in Wallonia, also indicating connecting long-distance cycling routes within Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg.
The base is a road map of the country with distances shown on many local roads and plenty of place names. Colouring indicates woodlands; contours are 50 intervals. The overprint prominently highlights long-distance cycling routes and disused railway lines suitable for cycling. Symbols mark locations of youth hostels, Friends of Nature houses, b&bs, shelters and camping zones. The map has margin ticks at intervals of 1’. Map legend includes English but explanation of the overprint is in Dutch and French only. The map is also overprinted with a grid for Belgium’s 1:50,000 topographic survey.
The overprint showing the routes extends beyond Belgium’s borders to the neighbouring areas of the Netherlands (up to s’Hertogenbosch), Germany (to Krefeld and Düren/.Bitburg in the Eifel) and the whole of Luxembourg, but not into France.
On the reverse are extensive notes (including English) about the network, the summary of the routes with distances, plus contact details for relevant organizations.
