Events this autumn at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)

The Royal Geographical Society’s programme of events this autumn includes something for everyone, with a wide range of talks, discussions and exhibitions at venues across the UK.

The full programme of events is now available online and includes the Monday night lecture series for members. The first of autumn’s lectures is on Monday 25 September and celebrates the digitisation of the Society’s moving film archive. Other speakers in the series include Evan Davis, Bettany Hughes and Bruce Parry.

The Society’s public programme is open to all and events in London include a screening of the 1922 film Climbing Mt Everest and a travel evening on Bolivia.

And there’s plenty going on outside the capital with the Society’s Britain from the Air exhibition in Liverpool until 31 October and the Shackleton centenary exhibition on display at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh until 12 November. These are in addition to the talks, field visits and events organised by the Society’s regional committees across the country.

So why not join the Society now and gain access to the Monday night lecture series for members as well as discounts on tickets for public events? Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) membership is open to all and members also receive a 10% discount on all Stanfords items.
